#32-42
Twillight Saga - Book 2 - New Moon (Stephanie Meyer) - (audio) 14 hours 47 minutes
Should we really let teenage girls read this? The book makes it sound all right to hurt your best friend who has a crush on you, just because the heartless bastard who you have a crush on does not want you.
And that trip to Italy? WTF??
Edward had like 5 minutes head start and still managed to get there at least 12 hours before Bella and AliceThere just aren't planes to Italy from Rio or New York in 5 minute intervals, thank you very much
7/10
Twillight Saga - Book 3 - Eclipse (Stephanie Meyer) - (audio) 16 hours 02 minutes
Every sane reader gets the hint that the vamps and the wolves should work together at chapter 5 or so.Aside from that the story is also quite dragged out with stupid stuff.
And what is that whole crap with vamps not getting older? Of course they don't age visibly but Alice could still hold as many birthday parties as she wants, after all they do pretend to be normal people.
(Even if they still behave like they are teenagers and did not get any experience at unlife for a century)
5/10
Much Ado about nothing (William Shakespeare) - (Audio)1 hour 24 minutes
David Tennant makes a fantastic Benedic, but Shakespeare is still overrated
6/10
The Hammer of Eden (Ken Follett) - 528 pages
Note to self: Read more Follett
10/10
The other side of midnight (Sydney Sheldon) - 344 pages (reread)
I really wanted to reread this for a while, but now I'm a bit disappointed
Like some other of Sheldons books I loved 10 years ago, this left me a bit unsatisfied nowadays
6/10
Zauberwelt der JK Rowling (Jörg Knobloch) - 140 pages (reread)
This book has two main problems
1) It is outdated (written in 2000, published early in 2001)
2) There is too much guess work (Like Rowling was 9 years old when "The worst witch" got published. Maybe she read the book as a child and liked the idea of a school for young magicans)
I very much loved the little detail about a insurance company in Germany who would pay you a curse in magic if OOTP was not published by the end of 2001 - guess they had to pay out some of this courses for people who got insured after this book came out, but OOTP did not get published till 2003
2/10
One Red Paperclip (Kyle MacDonald) - 320 pages
I think I would have loved the story about how a guy managed to change stuff until he made a paperclip into a house way more if he would have done this without the major help of the media.
Things like that just get easier once you got the publicity - But then I think the best part is the one that involves Alice Cooper
4/10
Tee Clipper (Johannes K. Soyener) - 820 pages
This story is one one hand dragged out too much, and on the same time does often not go deep enough into the plot.
Another big problem is that while there is a lot of nautic talk the terms never are explained within the text nor by an appendix - that makes a lot of the story hard to understand for people not familiar with nautic babble
7/10
Black Magician Trilogy - Book 1 - Magicians' Guild (Trudi Canavan) - (audio) 6 hours 29 minutes (reread)
It's not quite as fascinating as the first time around, but still a wonderful story
9/10
Black Magician Trilogy - Book 2 - Magicians' Guild (Trudi Canavan) - (audio) 6 hours 04 minutes (reread)
I don't know if it is because of the abrigged version or because I know how it ends, but this time I had a less difficult time to read parts of this, because they did not feel way to familiar.
That's quite good
